Professor Kesav Vithal Nori is a Distinguished Prof. of Computer Science at IIIT Hyderabad. He has a distinguished career that has alternated between academics and industrial research. He retired as the Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and was one of the pioneers of their software research at Tata Research Development and Design Centre (TRDDC). Previously he has worked as a research scientist in the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and as faculty at IIT Kanpur. Prof. Kesav Nori worked on a successful computer-based adult literacy programme while at TCS and developed Indian language specific primers.
