Prof. N. Balakrishnan is an honorary professor at Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (SERC) and Department of Aerospace Engineering in IISc. He is a founding member of SERC, and a leading luminary in Indian supercomputing initiatives. He is one of the architects of the Indian National Supercomputing Mission. He has published over 200 papers in international and national journals.
As he was finishing his PhD, Prof.Balakrishnan helped install and test the new DEC 1090 computer in IISc.
