Prof. Shyamsundar is a thought leader in the areas of programming languages, network & information security and logics of programs. He was the Founder Dean of the School of Technology and Computer Science at TIFR. He was instrumental in setting up of Center for Formal Design of Software as a joint center among TIFR, IIT Bombay and Department of Atomic Entergy and serves as its advisor. He holds several patents in India and the US and has more than 250 publications in refereed journals and several edited books.
